This was probably designed as an impoundement barra rod and I'm sure it would be great for that. But bring it up here to the tropics and we call it for big barra and a bluewater special! As the name suggests this outfit has a lot of stopping power down low, a great medium to fast action ideal for throwing big poppers, lures and live baits, this has the power to stop big barra, mackeral and other pelagics in their tracks or pull Jewies and snapper from the bottom.
We are calling this a travel outfit because the rod breaks at the butt leaving a neat 1.55m pack length. The rod slides about 65mm into the butt, making a perfect join, and when assembled with a "push and twist" motion will ensure a solid connection that will never move or budge during the most difficult conditions. The rod is equpped with Fuji SIC guides, and the rod cover provided keeps both part separate.
